CloseUp Brings the Heat to the 20th Unilag Carnival with Culture, Confidence, and Connection

On Thursday, August 14, 2025, the University of Lagos lit up with the 20th edition of the Unilag Carnival—a vibrant annual celebration of music, dance, art, and heritage that has become a beloved tradition among students. This milestone year saw CloseUp take center stage as a key sponsor, bringing its “Closer Is Better” campaign to life in bold, unforgettable ways that celebrated cultural pride, creativity, and youthful self-expression.

From the first beat of the parade to the final wave of the crowd, CloseUp’s presence was impossible to miss. The fully branded Vibe Bus rolled through campus like a moving heartbeat, pulsing with music, colour, and laughter, fueling the energy as students in elaborate costumes danced through clouds of colourful smoke and carnival rhythms.

Inside the Main Bowl at the Indoor Sports Centre, the CloseUp booth became a natural hub for excitement. Its striking red-and-white palette, playful carnival accents, and immersive experiences drew crowds throughout the day. Students lined up for photos, took a chance at the spin-the-wheel game, and got bursts of colour and joy from the face-painting station all while soaking in the spirit of connection and confidence.

At every turn, CloseUp’s message was clear: Closer is better. When you feel your best, you connect more deeply.

By nightfall, the campus began to quiet, but the spark of the day remained, echoing in the shared memories, vibrant photos, and unfiltered joy of everyone who showed up. For CloseUp, this wasn’t just a lesson in impactful brand presence. It was a powerful investment in a generation that’s unafraid to own their culture, embrace their identity, and connect with bold confidence.

In every sense, it was a celebration of culture, confidence, and the beauty of being closer.

Stay fresh. Stay confident. Stay CloseUp.
