STRONG, the latest drama from Dimbo and Karachi Atiya, steps into emotionally difficult territory exploring trust, marriage, identity, faith, and the consequences of hidden truths.

At the center of the story is Lami Sawa, a disciplined architect and respected mentor whose carefully structured life begins to collapse when her husband, Sota Sawa, becomes entangled in allegations of infidelity and murder.

But STRONG is not interested in rushing through scandal.

Instead, the film takes its time, leaning into emotional tension and psychological weight. It asks difficult questions:

One of the film’s strongest elements is its restraint. Rather than relying on loud drama, STRONG chooses silence, atmosphere, and emotional realism. Sophie Alakija delivers a layered performance as Lami, carrying much of the film’s emotional depth through subtle expressions and internal conflict. Chris Okagbue brings ambiguity and tension to Sota, keeping audiences uncertain about who he truly is beneath the surface.

Visually, the film embraces contrast clean architectural spaces against emotional instability, order against unraveling chaos. The cinematography mirrors Lami’s inner world beautifully, creating a quiet but persistent emotional pressure throughout the film.
